Corktown region of Hamilton, ON real estate

When I self-diagnosed myself with acute boredom from working in my former Big Box Real Estate Brokerage, Corktown is where I briefly rented office space for City Brokerage, almost four years ago.

I loved the neighbourhood and it was everything I was really missing working in a plaza in the middle of the outskirts of the ‘burbs. Such as a good coffee, a good sandwich, a bit of hustle and bustle. Or, in a nutshell, people.

Conveniently located steps away from the Go Station and Public Transportation, Corktown is a commuters’ walkers’ dream hood.

Dotted with semi-detached homes, larger detached homes and condos, the area has come a long way from predominantly Irish working class neighbourhood.

Augusta Street and James Street South offer the food and the beverages, from the swanky Radius to the casual Two Black Sheep and the ultimate carnivore’s dream and my personal fave, Rapscallion.

Condos such as the (soon to be built) Connnolly, Connaught, City Square dot the outlines of the  neighbourhood.

Rental properties in this area are a great investment as well, with proximity to St. Joseph’s hospital. The architecture is best suited to single family rentals or small duplexes or condo rentals.
